Addendum to Agenda: Fire Department Report
Council member Blane Sherron made a motion to accept addendum to agenda. Motion was seconded by Council member Kristen Nash. All in favor and motion so carried.

Council Meeting 9-7-2026 moved to 9-8-2026
Council member Stephanie Brasher made the motion to move the 9-7-2026 Council Meeting to 9-8-2026 due to Labor Day Holiday. Motion was seconded by Council member Blane Sherron. All in favor and motion so carried

Council member Glenn Johnson made the motion to approve the reduced quote from AMIC at $122,314. Motion was seconded by Council member Kristen Nash. All in favor and motion so carried.

There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time, Council Member Glenn Johnson made the motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Council Member Blane Sherron. All in favor and motion so carried.

Council Member Glenn Johnson entered meeting at 7:08pm
​
Addendum to Agenda: Town Insurance Quote, Cowbell Cyber Insurance, Sponsorship and Kenneth Allison to speak.
Council member Blane Sherron made a motion to accept addendum to agenda. Motion was seconded by Council member Eloise Ward. All in favor and motion so carried.

Mayors Notes:
Mayor Sims gave update on Theater Project. There was a 3-week delay in pouring the floor due to water issues but that has been resolved and the floor was poured. They are hoping to put the roof on the building this week
Mayor Sims spoke on the ADS study that has been in progress. This study is being done to show how much I & I we have going into our sewer. We have received some information back but not everything. We still need to do a smoke test in August or September. Mayor Sims stated that when this happens, we will need to notify our residents.

Council member Blane Sherron made the motion to approve the previous Council Meeting Minutes for 7-27-2026. Motion was seconded by Council member Stephanie Brasher. All in favor and motion so carried.

Police Report – Chief Pete Hicks
Citizens to Speak –
Kenneth Allison – Spoke on the Market study that was completed almost 2 years ago. Mr. Allison spoke with the council asking for the town to retain him for his services.

There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time, Council Member Kristen Nash made the motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Council Member Eloise Ward. All in favor and motion so carried.
